Tobie originally came to us from a Facilities Maintenance company and was looking to specialise in refrigeration and air conditioning. Tobie initially interviewed well although not having his FGas certificate meant he was not suitable for the role at that time. He went away and worked to obtain his FGas qualification and then returned to us for a second chance. Recognising the efforts he had made and his can do attitude, he was offered an Improver position within the team.

In the short time he has been with us, he is now considered a very able asset to the team who is spoken highly of by his peers. He is able to take instruction on board and use this to his advantage and has a great attitude. Tobie has gained a wealth of experience by working with his colleagues and continues to show a great interest and passion for the works. He has recently enrolled in college and is currently working to obtain his NVQ L2 qualification. Upon completion, Tobie will move from Improver to Engineer.

Tobie can be considered for any and all works we undertake. Tobie has been involved in all aspects of the tasks we undertake both individually and with others: Chiller Service/Maintenance/Repair Heat pump Service/Maintenance/Repair AC Service/Maintenance/Repair Brazing Pressure Testing Evacuation Refrigerant Handling Various component replacements both mechanical and electrical Successful diagnosis of equipment and system issues Compressor changes AHU Ventilation works System Flat Packing Condenser Coil Repair/Replacement

He recently led and successfully completed a condenser coil replacement job at the Network Building. Tobie’s paperwork is concise and detailed and is used as our good examples for new engineer inductions in our Engineer Starter Packs.

Tobie regularly goes the extra mile and volunteers to cover out of hours work and makes himself available to assist wherever required. He will be looking to move on to our callout rota for 2018.

We still work for the FM company that Tobie came to us from and initially they would question his abilities as an engineer. This has quickly changed to receiving positive feedback regarding Tobies abilities and attitude directly from them and many customers request Tobie as their preferred engineer. Tobie has taken to our team with a passion for the work and the ability to learn and understand the new challenges he faces.

Customer testimonial: Hi Stefan, Just want to drop you a line to say thank you to Tobie who cleaned our condenser coils when doing the oil change. He did this in between waiting for vacs and pressure tests and is shows commitment and pro-activeness! Thanks. Regards, Neil Schoeman | Contracts Manager | Platinum Facilities
