Colin Goodwin
Colin joined BSRIA in 2018 and leads the technical development, delivery and focus of BSRIA, his role also encompasses managing BSRIA technical input to regulatory, legislative and parliamentary activity, including energy policies and building regulations.
Colin qualified as a chartered engineer in 1995 and is also a registered European Engineer (EurIng). He is both a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and Liveryman in the Worshipful Company of Engineers. He has held board and senior manager positions in FM, energy services, and property & construction management. Bringing to BSRIA a wide experience in property operations, construction and energy management with both client and contractor businesses.
Prior to joining BSRIA Colin was Technical Director at Mitie Engineering formerly Dalkia, leading several business and technical projects in energy and critical engineering, technical facilities management and construction. Colin started his career as an Engineer Officer with P&O and spent 8 years in the Merchant Navy prior to working ashore. He moved into construction in 1987 working initially with AG Manly Ltd in commissioning, project engineering and maintenance, and later moving to the Sainsbury Property Company where he held technical management roles, including design,energy, property and facilities management.

Roger Borer
Roger has over 45 years’ experience working in refrigeration engineering, retail engineering services/construction project management and general business management.
He is an experienced senior manager/director with an excellent track record for the successful delivery of large and complex business critical projects.
He has worked in both end user and contracting environments, including 31 years’ service with J Sainsbury plc.
More recently he has operated his own management consultancy, Roger Borer Management Services where his activities as an independent business advisor and Non-executive Director have involved him with a variety of refrigeration contracting, design, manufacturing, project management and online business directory organisations.
He is currently Executive Officer for the Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA).
Roger has a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies and is a Fellow of the Institute of Refrigeration.

Graeme Fox
Graeme has been a contractor for over 20 years running his own small family business specialising in building services: air conditioning, heat pumps and climate control. He joined the B&ES RACHP Group Executive Committee in 2000 and served as Chairman between 2005 and 2008. He has also served on B&ES Council since 2005.
He has represented UK contractors at AREA since 2004 and served as AREA Technical & Environment Committee chairman from 2006 until 2010 when he was elected AREA President, a position he filled until standing down in 2014.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Refrigeration and a member of the ACRIB Technical & Safety Committee and F-Gas Implementation Group.

Martyn Cooper
Martyn Cooper is currently Commercial Manager at FETA, having joined them in May 2015 after a 37 year long career in the chemical industry. Originally working for ICI within their plastics business, for the last 20 years Martyn was involved in the sales and marketing of refrigerants, initially with ICI KLEA and then its antecedents, Ineos Fluor and Mexichem Fluor. His final position was Regional Sales Manager for Northern Europe.
Martyn’s role now includes supporting various sections within several of the member associations of FETA; BRA, HPA and HEVAC. He has also been involved in the launch and promotion of the recent BRA Putting into Use Replacement Refrigerants (PURR) report. Future work will look at raising the profile of FETA and its member associations, highlighting the benefits of membership of a trade association.

Richard Merritt
Richard Merritt has over 25 years’ experience in the industry having started out as an apprentice with Haden Young. In 2001 he took over the family business AC Solutions Group Ltd as Managing Director a role in which he continues to date. Established in 1982 the company specialises in the supply, installation and maintenance of air conditioning systems for all types of environments.
Active in the industry, Richard is Hertfordshire Branch Chairman and South East region Vice Chairman of BESA, as well as a member of the BESA specialist RACHP group executive committee.
A member of the Institute of Refrigeration, Licentiate at the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and Engineering Technician status at the Engineering Council.
Richard is keen to stay at the forefront of industry technological developments and skills training.
