Entries are open for the ACR News Awards 2019

Taking place at London’s Tower Hotel on Thursday 21 March, the 2019 edition of the ACR News Awards features a streamlined entry process and a host of new categories – creating the ultimate occasion for recognising exceptional products, extraordinary companies and remarkable individuals across the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.

Organised by Datateam Business Media – publisher of ACR News Magazine – the Awards has celebrated innovation in the sector for over 20 years and continues to adapt, reflecting the very latest industry trends.

“With the introduction of new products and technology on the market, it is important that the ACR News Awards evolves alongside the industry,” outlines Steve Bennion, event manager. “The 2019 event cycle offers even more opportunities for rewarding excellence; championing the companies and individuals that are redefining the ACR landscape.”

Responding to the industry’s shift towards energy-efficiency and reduced environmental impact, new product categories in the 2019 line-up include ‘Chiller of the Year’, ‘Heat Pump of the Year’ and ‘Retail Product of the Year’, which are open to any manufacturer or its representative agent (entering on the manufacturer’s behalf) of products launched onto the UK market after November 1, 2017.

Also new to the fold are ‘Retail Project of the Year’ and ‘Building Energy Management Project of the Year’; categories that are open to companies operating in the UK for relevant projects implemented after the same date.

These categories are set to be judged by an independent panel of industry experts, alongside the returning; ‘Air Conditioning Product of the Year’, ‘Air Conditioning Ancillary Product of the Year’ (sponsored by Hitachi), ‘Refrigeration Product of the Year’, ‘Refrigeration Ancillary Product of the Year’, ‘Trainee of the Year’ (sponsored by Hawco) and the ‘Alan Moor Award’ (sponsored by Bitzer).

Two new ‘voted for’ categories, ‘Website of the Year’ and ‘App of the Year’, will be decided by the industry alongside the established ‘Wholesaler/Distributor of the Year’ and ‘Service Engineer of the Year’ awards.
